BIOGRAPHY
Canadian-American soprano Hannah Friesen has captivated audiences with her "bright, clear sound and alluring stage presence," as praised by Opera News. A versatile and dynamic performer, she is a Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Audience Choice Award Winner (Iowa District), Camille Coloratura Awards 1st Place Winner, Giulio Gari Competition Honorable Mention, Premiere Opera Foundation Semi-Finalist, Alan M. and Joan Taub Ades Vocal Competition Winner, is a Career Bridges Grant Recipient as well as a Middlebury German Language School - Max Kade Grant Recipient.
Hannah received her Master Music in Opera from the Manhattan School of Music and has performed with renowned companies such as Opera Delaware, Des Moines Metro Opera, Janiec Opera Company, L'Accademia Nazionale Di Belcanto Italiano, Mozart Opera Studio Vienna and the College Light Opera Company of Cape Cod. She has also performed with New York City based companies such as The Opera Next Door and the Athena Music Foundation. She has served as the resident soprano soloist for Second Presbyterian Church on the Upper West Side.

Die Gärtnerin aus Liebe, Donna Anna Don Giovanni, Gilda Rigoletto, Servilia La Clemenza Di Tito, Frasquita Carmen, Iris Semele, Harriet Emmiline, Genovieffa Suor Angelica, Clorinde Cendrillon, Kate Pinkerton Madama Butterfly, Gretel Hansel and Gretel, Belinda Dido and Aeneas, Barbarina & Susanna The Marriage of Figaro, among many others.
Hannah is currently based between Berlin and New York City as she expands her career into the European operatic sphere.
